XP and Stardom are how Melodics tracks your dedication. Every session contributes – no matter which instrument you're playing or what you're working on.
What is XP?
XP (Experience Points) is earned every time you play in Melodics. Lessons, songs, courses, and replays all count. Playing with better timing earns you more XP, but you earn something every time you show up.
There's no daily or weekly cap – play as much as you like.
Bonus XP: Weekly Goals offer extra XP on top of your regular earnings. Completing your daily goal also adds a bonus. These are the fastest ways to build XP if you're looking to climb the ranks.
What is Stardom?
Stardom is your overall rank in Melodics. As your XP accumulates, you progress through Stardom ranks. It's a measure of how much time and effort you've put into your practice – not how skilled you are. (That's what Stages are for.)
Stardom is shared across all instruments. Time on drums, keys, and pads all feeds into the same rank.
Stardom reflects consistency and commitment. Showing up regularly and putting in the time is what moves your Stardom most. It's designed to make effort visible – every session counts toward something, even when progress on a particular skill isn't obvious.

What happened to Levels and Stars from the previous system?
Levels and Stars have been replaced by Stardom and XP. Your existing play history and completed lessons carried over, and your starting Stardom reflected your history in the app. All earned stars on lessons remain, and your streak and practice history are unchanged.

There’s no limit to how much XP you can earn. Play as much as you like and earn XP every time.
Weekly Lessons offer bonus XP, giving you an extra boost to help you climb the Stardom ranks faster.
