Connect your Blocks
Connect your ROLI Seaboard Block or LUMI to your computer via USB. If you‘re on a Mac, you can connect via Bluetooth instead. See Bluetooth Connection instructions below.
ROLI Dashboard Settings
Open ROLI Dashboard. Your Seaboard Block or LUMI will automatically appear.
Select “Single Channel” on the left panel.
Under “MIDI Settings” ensure channel 1 is selected for “MIDI Channel”.
You can now close ROLI Dashboard.
Melodics Settings
Now launch Melodics and make sure you have Keys selected as your instrument. Your Seaboard Block should be automatically connected, but if not, go to the Settings screen and select it from the “Connected hardware” dropdown menu.
LUMI users will need to hit the "map your instrument" button.
Troubleshooting
If your Seaboard Block or LUMI is still not connecting, try some of the following troubleshooting tips.
Update your Blocks – in ROLI Dashboard, while your Seaboard Block or LUMI is connected you can hit the “Updates” button. This will ensure the firmware on your device is up to date.
Multiple Blocks – if you‘re using multiple ROLI Blocks at once, try connecting one at a time.
Map your instrument – if your device doesn‘t automatically appear in the “Connected hardware” dropdown menu, hit the “Map your instrument” button to create a manual mapping.
Battery – if you‘re connecting wirelessly, ensure that your device has sufficient battery life.
