1. Make sure Move firmware is up to date.

Firmware version 1.1 or greater.

2. Connect Move to your computer via USB-C.

Careful not to use the USB-A host port

3. Switch Move to ‘Control Live’ mode
See diagram below:

Setup

If you want to control Melodics with your Move, press Shift + Step 2, then select and click “Control Live”.

In Control Live mode, Move acts as a controller for Live and Melodics running on your computer. Move’s standalone features are disabled in this mode. You must connect Move to your computer via a USB-C cable for Control Live mode.

4. Make sure you DO NOT have Ableton Live running

Make sure you only have Melodics open and not Ableton Live at the same time. Having both running will present a conflict for which app Move connects to.

5. Open Melodics

It should automatically connect. You should see a light display flash across the Pads of the Move to signal the connection. If not, make sure Melodics has pads selected as the instrument and not drums or keys.
