Windows Users Only: Install the Latest Yamaha Steinberg USB Driver
Download and install the latest driver from the Yamaha website.

Choose Preset Trigger P01 on the FGDP
Ensure your FGDP is set to the correct trigger preset.

Choose Preset Kit Number 1, "Maple," as the Basic Kit
This will be the foundation for your drumming sessions.

Connect the FGDP to Your Computer or iPad
Use the appropriate cable to connect your device.

Run the Melodics App
The app will automatically detect your FGDP.

Select “DRUMS” in the Top-Left Corner
Note: FGDP is optimized for “DRUMS,” not for “PADS.”

Open the AUDIO & DEVICE Menu in Settings within the Melodics App
Navigate to Settings to configure your audio and device settings.

Windows Users Only: Select Yamaha Steinberg USB Driver for “Selected Audio Device”
Ensure the correct driver is selected for optimal performance.

Navigate to “Guided”
Lessons optimized for FGDP will appear.

Select a Lesson You Want to Learn
Browse and choose a lesson that suits your interest.

Click the “Play” Button at the Right End of the Screen
Start your selected lesson.

In the Volume Menu at the Left Side of the Screen, Set YOUR NOTES to 0 (Leftmost) to Hear FGDP Sound from FGDP Itself
Adjust the volume settings to ensure you hear the FGDP's sound directly.
