Factory Reset Your Pad Controller
Perform a factory reset on your pad controller. Check your user manual or look up instructions on this guide.For Maschine Users
Download and install the NI Controller Editor templates needed for proper functionality.Create a Manual Mapping
If your controller isn’t triggering correctly, go to Settings and click the ‘Map MIDI instrument’ button. Follow the instructions to map each pad.Check Your USB Cable
The quality and length of your USB cable can affect performance. Use a shorter (no longer than 2 meters), higher-quality cable.
Avoid using USB hubs or extension cables; connect your controller directly to your computer.
Test MIDI Output
To check if your controller is sending MIDI signals, download a MIDI monitor tool:
MacOS: MIDI Monitor
Windows: MIDI-OX
Install the tool, open it, and hit a few pads. If the notes register, your controller is working correctly.
Audio Troubleshooting
If you can’t hear the metronome or backing track:
Go to the Settings tab and click ‘Play test audio’.
If there’s no sound, make sure:
Your audio output device is selected in the Settings tab.
Your volume is turned up.
