1. Connect Push 3 to your computer via USB-C
Careful not to use the USB-A host port.
2. Switch Push 3 to ‘Control Live’ mode
To connect your Push 3 to Melodics, it must be in 'Control Live' mode.
Press the Setup button to access the Status tab:
Here you can see whether Push is currently set to Standalone Mode or Control Mode. Press the Control Live display button to switch to Control Mode, then open Melodics on your computer if it isn’t already open.
In Control Live mode, your Push 3 acts as a controller for Melodics running on your computer. Push 3’s standalone features are disabled in this mode. You must connect your Push to your computer via a USB-C cable for Control Live mode.
4. Make sure you DO NOT have Ableton Live running
Make sure you only have Melodics open and not Ableton Live at the same time. Having both running will present a conflict for which app Push 3 connects to.
5. Open Melodics
It should automatically connect. You should see a light display flash across the Pads of the Push to signal the connection. If not, make sure Melodics has pads selected as the instrument and not drums or keys.
